- Properties: White or light yellow crystal powder. Density is 1.06 g/cm3. Soluble in alcohol, partly soluble in diethyl ether, insoluble in water.
- Application: DBTU is used as over-speed vulcanization accelerator for CR, with the similar performance of ETU and DETU. DBTU has the vulcanizing accelerated role for NR, SBR, IIR, and EPDM. It disperses easily in rubber. It is non-staining and does not bloom. It is practically odourless Antioxidant for NR, antiozonant for NR and SR, particularly SBR. It is also a corrosion inhibitor.
Major Applications
Oil Seals and Gaskets:
TBBS is employed in the production of rubber seals and gaskets for applications where oil resistance and sealing properties are critical, such as in automotive engines.
Vibration Isolators:
In the field of machinery and equipment, TBBS can be used in the production of rubber components for vibration isolators, contributing to shock absorption and damping properties.
